Feeding Elayna

Elayna you love to be held and feeding time. You are looking around and insist on seeing Lil'. Your hands are holding mine, Lil's hand or hitting your bottle when eating. You are drinking almost 6 oz of formula. You now prefer mommy to feed you! So much fun!

Nap Time

This is how Lil' falls asleep. Her blankie on her face. Doggie on her chest or by her side. She has to have another blanket over her. I transferred her to her bed after she fell asleep. She cracks me up and I love her!

Sitting with...

Here is Elayna sitting with Grandpa. She loves sitting with Grandpa. Here is the Grandparents watching Snow White with Lil' and Elayna. This is Lil' first time watching Snow White. Today daddy caught Elayna putting her big toe in her mouth and sucking on it.

Frozen Banana on a Stick

Frozen banana on a popsicle stick is Lil' favorite snack. She used to eat bananas all the time but stopped. I decided to freeze them and see if she liked them. She loves eating cold food. She loves her new "treat"! She is saying "cheese" for the picture.

Sharing Elayna's Bed: Sisters!

Lil' loves to climb into Elayna's bed. I have watched her and she is careful not to step or hurt Elayna. Still have to watch her though, can't be too careful. She loves to be near Elayna and hold her hand. Elayna loves to watch Lil' and is so happy to see her and hear her. Lil' sings for Elayna.

Elayna Update: Elayna is wearing a size 3 diaper. 3's are little big but I want the coverage. She is drinking 6 oz of formula and eats rice cereal mid morning. She sleeps around 12 hours at night. She is a very happy and talkative baby. She is grabbing her feet more and loves to sit up with help. She is so cute!

Lil' and her "Blankie"

Lil' loves her blankie. She tries to take it everywhere but we are setting some boundaries. She has started to put it over her face, head or neck when she sleeps. It is so cute. It is not very big and I cut the blankie in half months ago so we had two. This way I can wash one and she does not know and smaller is better.

First Movie for Elayna and Lilia

Last night we decided to go see a movie Saturday morning. We do not go to the movies often because of cost and for the price we could own it! Some movies are fun to see in the theater on the big screen and with full sound effects. Grandma R came with us and we had a blast! This was Lil' first movie that she could watch. I might have taken Lil' as baby but I don't remember watching a movie with her. Elayna will not remember but thought it was fun to be held. Grandma got Lil' her own popcorn, fruit snack and drink. Grandma also brought juice box and lolli-pops for later if needed. Lil' loved those near the end of the movie when we needed a distraction. We sat in the middle and had a walk way and rail in front of us. More room for Lil' to move around. Not very many people at the 10:10 a.m. showing and it was nice. Elayna drank her milk and then fell asleep in Grandma's arms at the beginning of the movie. Asher took Lil' out to run during the middle of the movie because she was getting restless. Grandma took out Elayna to change a smelly diaper. I took Lil' out later as well. She fell asleep in Grandma's arms drinking her juice box at the very end of the movie. Pirates of the Caribbean--On Stranger Tides

I thought the movie was great and a lot of fun. Some good movie lines for quoting later. The sword fighting was fun but intense in some parts. There was a bedroom conversation during one sword fight. Some fun twists and plot changes. We of course stayed till the end of the credits to see the last clip. It was worth the wait!

Wash Me!

"Get up early and wash me!" This is totally what my parents would write on the car/van when I was a teenager. We always wrote "Wash me!" on friends cars before school started. I hope I can remember to be this creative when the kids are older.

Favorite Books

Elayna's favorite books (toys) are "Hello Bee Hello Me!" by Joyce Aronson and "Hear Me". She loves to put them in her mouth and play with them.

Look Who Rescued Elayna!

Lil' decided that Elayna needed to be rescued. Elayna seemed very content with Lil' beside her. I knew something was up when Elayna stopped crying and it was quiet. I was hoping she fell asleep. :)

Rice Cereal--Yummy!

Elayna is getting use to rice cereal. She eats it twice during the day. I do get her to eat most of it versus wearing the rice cereal.

Elayna 4 Month Doctor Visit

Elayna is growing great and healthy!

She has a rash on her neck and under her arms. I get it looking great but then comes back over night. We got some ointment that should do the trick.

Almost ready to switch to size 3 diapers. She is wearing 3-6 month clothes and they fit!

You are drinking 4 oz of formula every 3-4 hours during the day. Some times you want more an hour or so later and you drink 2 more oz of formula. We will start with rice cereal in the morning and see if that helps fill you up.

Elayna you love to smile, laugh and talk. We love playing with you.

Lilia cried when you got your shots. I held you and you stopped crying. Lilia did too! :)

You take a morning nap and afternoon nap and a short dinner nap. You sleep from 8 pm till 7-8 am.

We are so happy you are in our family and we love you so much.

Lilia in the Baby Walker

Lilia tried out the baby walker and then fell asleep. Anytime Elayna sits in the walker Lilia has to have her turn. So cute! Now to see if I can get her in her bed. :)

Elayna and Mommy

Elayna fell asleep in my arms. Lil' is watching Aunt Annie pack. She loves her aunt very much. Since Lil' is occupied I can relax with Elayna. I love holing my girls.

Lil' and her "Doggy"

Lil' loves her doggy. She takes it everywhere. Usually doggy has to have her blankie as well. I love the serious looks on her face. She would not smile for me or the picture. Her hair looks so cute but the bows only lasted three hours. We were waiting to see daddy at work but he had another meeting. We went to home depot and got daddy extra chain saw blades for his trip to AL to help those who lost everything to tornadoes. He will be working hard.

Elayna Four Months

Elayna is four months old! I think time is on fast forward! She loves to smile and laugh. She watches Lil' do everything. They love to hold hands. Today Lil' held Elayna's hand while I was feeding Elayna and Lil' fell asleep. Elayna you are rolling over from back to stomach from the left. You can roll back but usually get frustrated. You are sleeping 10 to 12 hours at night. You are drinking 4 oz of formula about every 3 hours sometimes sooner. You are wearing size 1-2 diapers but we are moving you to 3 as soon as we finish the bag of 1-2 size. You prefer to sleep in your bed on your back. You love playing with your toys on your play mat. Everything goes into your mouth. We love you so much and are so blessed to have you in our lives.

Hmm, Yummy!

Trying to get a picture of Lil' eating corn on the cob is tough she does not hold still! She loves corn on the cob and would eat three if I let her. I have to hurry and eat mine. We planted corn in our garden and I think she will love eating it.

Fun in Shower

Lil' will not take a bath because I found a bug (she says "bee") in the master bathtub. We told her it is gone but will not be convinced. She has been taking showers. Here she is having fun putting her letters and numbers on the bath tub wall. She is having a great time and getting tired!

Gobble...Gobble

Wild turkey's in our back yard! We have seen four total. Lilia loves looking for them and watching them. They are courting the hens and ruffle their feathers to show off.
