I found this table/stool at Goodwill. I did not take a before picture. It had a baseball painted on top. I covered it with fabric left over from the curtains. Not perfect but functional and I can change it later. Lilia loves "reading" her books.

Playing with Friends
Lilia loves playing with friends. They played in the kitchen in Lilia's drawer, toys, and books. We had a snack and drink. They played the piano and had a great time with the toy kitchen. They are going to have a blast in nursery when they are old enough.

Trouble!
See that black strap around her waist? The strap was suppose to keep her in her high chair! Well, it sort of worked. Good thing Daddy was there to keep an eye on her. I guess Lilia was done eating eggs, cheese and quinoa.

More on Oranges
I need to explain more about the oranges. We soak the oranges in clorox water to kill all the outdoor stuff (bird poop, dirt etc.). My parents picked them off the tree. Then you rinse them in water to get the clorox water off. Then you can juice them or eat them. We got oranges that are hard to peel. I don't like to peel oranges. When you buy an orange they have been cleaned by machines. They sort out the ones that are not pretty and then they may put a wax coating on the good oranges. They look very pretty when you buy them at the store. This is true for other fruits and vegetables you buy at the store. This is one reason you should wash everything even if you don't eat the peeling. When you cut through the peel you may contaminate the fruit you will be eating if you do not wash the peel.
Okay so that is a little more about the yummy ORANGES.

Cooking with Lilia
Lilia loves playing with her kitchen. I don't think she relates it to food but loves openning all the doors. She loves the cups and tries drinking out of them. She is sad when no water comes out. Her sippy cup is near with water. She plays while I cook and that makes me happy. She is starting to play more by herself and not need me right next to her.
Lilia took two steps on Tuesday. I got her to do it again. I tried getting it on video but she wanted the camera.

Pasta and Corn bread!
Lilia had a good time eating dinner tonight. She has red sauce all over her face, ear and hair! She squashed the corn bread and pasta in her hands. She had lots of fun! Some of the food did make it to her mouth. She is going to the tub after dinner. She has a good splash! Grandma taught her the splash and Daddy thinks it is funny! He did the same thing as a baby. I watch her closely because she is starting to put her face in the water. I am soaked and the phone rings, it is for me. Now Daddy gets wet while he watches her! She loves bath time.

Orange Juice
My parents brought us Florida Oranges for Christmas! Yummy!
Here is the process: soak in clorox water, rinse in water, cut in half, and then juice.
I grew up juicing oranges every season. I did not appreciate the juice as a kid/teen which is normal. I love it now for the vitamins and because it tastes so good! Thanks Dad and Mom!

Bulk Foods and Coupons

Thanks to an awesome friend I love going to the Amish Country Pantry store. My Mom and I went this last week and got a lot of fun things. The wheat and oats are very good. I am also updating my spices as I run out of the old ones. The store told us about this website and it is a nice one. Has recipes and why bulk foods can save money etc. I will be spending more time looking around on this site.
Discover Bulk Foods
Another friend shared with me this website for coupons and deals on groceries. I have used this a couple of times. I shop twice a month for groceries or less. I don't like to shop. I don't get a lot of prepared foods so coupons don't always help me. It is nice to know when produce and other things are on sale. I need to do more research on this site because I know I can be better with what I do buy. Both these sites will print your grocery lists and I love that option. I can have everything together.
