Lilia falls asleep pretty quick if you can get her to slow down. Daddy is the same way.
"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we wanted them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." Joseph F. Smith

Elayna 20 Months
We love you so much. This is a little late...
You are wearing size 18 month pants and 24 month tops and dresses. I thought we could go up in diaper size but nope, 4 fits best. Shoes are size 6. You love to swing and slide. You climb and reach for everything. You follow your older sister around and try everything she does. You copy words we say and will repeat words. Your favorite words are: No, Mine, Tickle tickle, Up, more, down, dog, cat, and Eeyore. You don't like too much food in your mouth. You don't like soft mushy foods. High acidic foods don't agree with your tushy. You love to sing, dance and dress up with your sister.

Lunch: Before and After
We went grocery shopping with grandma. We had a great time and got pumpkins to decorate.
This was lunch after shopping:
Bean and avacado tortillas
Grapes
Cucumbers
Cherry Tomatoes
Carrot sticks
Lilia ate everything on her pink plate plus more grapes and cucumbers.
Elayna ate her grapes, beans and avacado on the orange plate. She did not eat her cherry tomatoes or carrot stick. Elayna did not have tortilla because she does not eat it.
They did a great job eating!
I ate all my food as well. :)
Now for naps......

Pre Fiesta
I decided to take few pictures before the party. Sometimes I never get pictures of my girls once the party starts. Elayna would not hold still. I know her "cheesy" grin is not in focus. Lilia now holds still and poses for the camera. I love these two beautiful girls!
Fiesta
We went to a fiesta with grandma. We had a lot of fun. Lilia stuck to grandma almost the whole night. Elayna danced, loved on grandma and wandered around looking at everything. I loved all the food and tried to keep my eyes on Elayna. We are always made to feel welcome and treated so kindly.

New Night Gowns
I showed Lilia the princes fabric and she loved it! I got it on sale years ago. I made a pattern and quickly sewed. Only one alteration and then we were done. The neck elastic needs to be tighter. Next ones will be perfect! They wore them to bed last night. Lilia said I need to make a night gown for me!

Elayna 18 Months
Elayna you are 18 months old. Where has the time gone? We love you so much.
Weight: 24 lbs
Height: 32.5 inches
Head Cir: 18.5 inches
You are climbing everything: chairs, tables, stairs and you try the van. You are wearing size 4 diaper, size 5 shoes, and 18-24 month clothes. You love using your fork and spoon when eating and will push your plate away when you are done eating. You are drinking out of a straw sippy cup. Your hair is in your face if I don't fix your hair. You try and move your hair with your hands but it does not stay put. You love your stuffed animals and sleep with 7 or 8 of them. You give hugs and kisses to us and we love it. Brushing your teeth is an adventure because you don't like cleaning the top row. You will bow your head and fold your arms for a few seconds when we pray. Cooked carrots are not your favorite. You love eating meat, rice, pasta noodles and avacados. Your smile is contagious and everyone comments on your "smiling or happy eyes". When I ask Lilia what your name is, she says, "Elayna, but we call her Laney Lou".

Duet on the Piano
Lilia and Elayna play on the piano at least once a day or more. Lilia does not bang but mimicks what we do. Elayna still bangs but is learning to press keys with fingers.
Daddy's Childhood Home (Grandparents Home)
The girls love going to grandma and grandpa's house. Love the decorations for the 4th of July. Also, look at those flowers! Lilia wants to pick some next time.
Beautiful Mess!
My girls do not mind getting dirty. They had the best time playing. They took a bath when we got inside. Rinsed them off first and got the dirt down the drain and then gave them a bath.
