Lilia's First Day of School

Lilia's First Day of School was great.  We took pictures with daddy.  We said family prayer and read the Book of Mormon. Daddy headed to work.  Lilia was ready and played outside with Elayna on the swing set. A friend picked us up and we went to the school together.  We took pictures and we headed inside.  Her friend went to her class and Lilia kept on walking down the hall to her room.  She saw her teacher at the door.  We went inside.  Lilia found her seat and name tag.  She tried to head to the computer but her teacher redirected her to her seat to color.  She had a great morning.  Our neighbor Ella saw Lilia and said hello as well in the hallway.  Lilia ate all of her lunch.  She had peanut butter and honey sandwich, carrot sticks, chocolate chip cookie and water.  It was all gone.  She is growing up so fast.
Elayna and I went to the library to see about an ABC club for her.  She had fun on the computer and will like this club.  I will get to read in the library once a week and relax.

Sister Missionaries

Lilia and Elayna loves these missionaries.  I am grateful they are setting a great example for our girls. 

Chocolate Peanut butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

I used this recipe as a base and added one ingredient. Left sprinkles off. PB2 powder is great!

1/2 box of devils food cake mix

1 egg

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp baking powder

2 Tbl of PB2 powder

3 Tbl of melted coconut oil

1/2 cup chocolate chips

Mix. Use a Tbl cookie scoop to make 20 balls. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Cool and eat. 

Princess Panties

After showers tonight Elayna decided to put her panties on her head. They kept saying Princess Underwear!

We got them where they belong.

Lilia got a letter from her Kindergarten Teacher

The girls walked to mail box to get the mail with daddy. Lilia had a letter. No return address. She was excited to open the letter. I read the letter to her and she loved the pink feather. She was surprised that it was from her teacher. Very excited!

Here is the letter:

Dear Lilia, 

I am so tickled to have you in my class. We will have a great year together. See you soon! 

Mrs. -------

We got emails today from her teacher testing the emails we had given her. So far, I am pleased. I know my child will not be perfect but her teacher is just right for her.

Doggie Sitting

Lilia and Elayna are doggie sitting. They love Francesca! Our dog Mari loves playing as well. Thanks Aunt Annie for letting us watch Francie!

Swimming

We have been swimming a lot this summer. A friend lives close by and is our favorite place to swim. Lilia swims really well- jumps off diving board, goes down the slide, swims on bottom, hand stands, flips and everything else! Elayna loves her float but prefers to swim on her own. She can stand in shallow end on her tiptoes and have her mouth above water. She will swim full face in the water when she wants. She will take swim lessons this August and September.  She loves the water.

**They came down the slide one at a time and safe distance apart.

New School Playground

We went and checked out the school play ground. Lilia loved it and so did Elayna.  I am excited for Lilia but I am going to miss her!

Pioneer Day

We had a great time celebrating Pioneer Day with our church. We are thankful for our pioneer heritage. 

Trip to the Dentist

Today we went to the dentist.  The girls were great. They did not need me. I stood outside between the two rooms. I got a few pictures.
