Lilia you are 15 months! We love you so much. We are so blessed to be your parents. You are such a joy. Here are some things you are doing and experiencing:
• Teething-molars
• Climbing everything
• No bows in hair, you pull them out!
• Shy around strangers
• Definitely wants Mommy when hurt
• Has an opinion on what she eats
• Talks with hands and sometimes feet
• Starting to help dress by refusing clothing
• Climb out of grocery cart if not strapped into cart
• You will give kisses and blow kisses
• Size 4 diaper, almost size 5
• Size 18 month clothes and some 24 months
• Size 5 shoe which is getting snug, almost size 6
• Love eating cheerios
• I catch you sitting and reading your books. You love it when I read to you.
• You have gotten more attached to your blanket and "pookie" (your pink puppy).
We love watching you grow up and help you learn all the new things!

Kiddie Pool

This is Lilia's first time in a kiddie pool. She has been in an indoor pool this last winter. She loves water. I am sure she is confused about the bathing suit and being outside. I sprayed sunscreen on her so she will be fine. She is having fun!

Baby Sitters

These young women are so awesome! I had meetings before church and they came just to watch Lilia and sit with me at church. I did not have to worry about anything. They took her outside after church and followed her everywhere. She fell asleep and took a good nap. I am so thankful for these young women.

2nd Visit to Nursery: I Will Share

Lilia is not old enough (18 months) but she got to visit nursery. I know Lilia will love nursery when she is old enough.  "I will share" was the lesson.  I think they helped her color!  A huge thanks to the nursery leaders! Joyce and Brent O.

I Love to see the Temple

Lilia and I are walking around the temple while daddy is in a meeting. She loves the rocks around the fountain and walking on the side walks. I got plenty of pictures on my regular camera. We are having a great night! You can not see her shoes, they are black Sunday shoes and she loves them!

Play Dough!

I made play dough after lunch today. Lilia was not sure about the blob. I made some shapes for her to play with. I made too much dough. Will half it next time.
Here is the recipe I used.

2 cups boiling water
2 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 cup of salt
2 packs of Cool Aid (flavor and color)
1 Tablespoon of cream of tartar
3 Tablespoons of oil

Get the water heating to a boil. Set aside once boiling. Mix with a wisk the flour, salt, cream of tartar and Cool Aid. Once mixed, use a spoon and mix the oil into the dry ingredients. Then add hot water. Mix till cool enough to knead by hand. Kneed for 8 min on a floured surface.
I did not do it for 8 minutes.

Happy Meal

Last night we went out to eat for dinner. Lilia got her own happy meal. She ate 3 chicken nuggets and a few fries. She drank all her apple juice. She loved dipping her chicken nugget into the sweet n' sour sauce.

Good Morning Hugs

Daddy greets Lilia in the morning and gets her out of her crib! She is always excited to see him. Some times she is too excited and hits her chin on the crib rail! The picture below she is getting hugs after breakfast from daddy.

What is brown, fast, and stripped?

The answer is Lilia's feet! She wears her sandals outside and anywhere we go way from home. Hence her feet are stripped from the sun. If you mention going outside she will get her sandals and sit down near you. Once her sandals are on she will go to the door or stair gate and wait for you. She does not have much patience and is very excited to go outside.

Ice, Yummy!

Right now we are in a severe thunderstorm. It is hailing. I got a piece to show her. Lilia thinks she can eat it. It is just smaller than a marble.

Happy Mother's Day

This is the picture we got before we left for church.  It was a great day at church and Lilia was very active! Meaning she wanted to be everywhere but in my lap!  We had a great day.  Daddy got me a orchid corsage.  Lilia wore her silk corsage in her hair.  I had a great Mother's Day.  I am so thankful to be a mother and to have  Lilia.

Bracelet

Lilia wore bracelets when she was little.  Then she started chewing on them.  No more bracelet!  A friend gave her a bracelet a couple of weeks ago at church.  Thanks Lori!  She loves it!  I got out the bracelet that Whitney made and she loves that one too!  Aunt Annie usually wears a bracelet and Lilia notices and sometimes wears the bracelet.  Lilia does have a hard time putting them on but taking them off is the fun part for her.  Annie's bracelet is larger and so she can put them on by herself.  I need to get mine out for her.

Peonies

Here is Lilia next to the peonies. She is more interested in playing in the dirt with her stick than the flowers. I love these flowers!

Surprise from Grandpa R.

Grandma and Grandpa R. came over for dinner.  When I was calling to arrange the time etc. I talked to Grandpa and he told me he had a surprise for Lilia.  Well, he found a baby turtle.  She loved it! I took these this morning.  She was okay for the first bit and then got nervous.  The turtle can not get out.  We put plastic wrap with small holes for breathing.  We do not know what kind of turtle it is.

Dried Up

Our back yard is almost back to normal. If you look closely the back right still has some water. This weekend we can start cleaning up the mess left behind and maybe mow a little.

Black Sunday Shoes

When I was a little girl I had one pair of Sunday shoe.  I would get new ones when needed.  My Grandma H. always got me a new pair.  We would go together and get my Sunday shoes.  I remember this being a fun time with Grandma.  I found this pair of black Sunday shoes for Lilia. She is wearing a size 5 right now. I tried them on and she loved them.  She did not want to wear her shorts. I let her run around for a while with out her shorts.  She walked all over the house in her new black Sunday shoes. I love the faces she is making in these pictures.  She is so funny and cute.

Just opened her eyes...

Lilia took a late nap today. We were outside with neighbors looking at the flooding. I feel so bad for them. A church friend of ours, who lives in the area helped two ladies. He went into their houses through the water to get prescriptions and clothes for them. The water came up to his waist. It is amazing how people help each other out. It is great to see! She was tired after seeing all the neighbors and the dogs. We are going to check on some friends after lunch in our little community. Lilia had just opened her eyes when I took the picture. She is so cute!

What to do on a rainy day?

Bake Cookies!
Well we have had floods here. We have spent the day talking to family, taking pictures of the creek now "lake" in our backyard and visiting with the neighbors. We have power and a lot of our friends do not. We are safe.
These are chocolate peanut butter chip cookies. I made a batch a month ago and froze part of the dough for later. I love making cookies when they can be home made and fast.

Korean Pancake or Hodok

Yummy! We bought this kit to make Hodok. I made a mess. Asher says he remembers the old ladies and how the dough was runny. They were really fast! I am not fast. I did get some of them right. We did not have the heat high enough but by the end we were good. They do not look pretty but taste really yummy and brought back great memories from Asher's mission in Korea. I went back with him after we were married and I got a chance to have Hodok once. It was very yummy.
