6 Months

Lilia is 6 months old today! She is amazing. She is sitting up and loves standing. When I put her in her rocking chair she could sit up on her own. I did not have to worry about her sliding out. She had mango yesterday and loved it. She can pick up a toy with one hand and switch to the other. She is getting on a nap plan. She has a short nap mid morning and longer nap in the afternoon. She is eating 3 meals day and formula in between.
We are so blessed and count our blessings everyday. We love you Lilia! We are so happy you are in our family.

A Mile Walk

We decided to take a walk yesterday. The loop around our house is one mile. It was a nice evening for walk. Lilia was great. We saw some friends along the way. Lilia fell asleep before we reached home. we are going to try and walk more now that the weather is getting nice (not as hot).

Dinner Time

Lilia loves sitting with us at the dinner table. She sits in a booster seat. She is strapped in. She will put her feet on the table side/ledge and push. We have to keep one of our feets on the chair rung so she does not tip over when she pushes. She bangs on the table and loves her napkin. I have to keep it out of her mouth. She loves her sippy cup. she gets watered down juice. She also likes to chew on the sippy cup.

Yellow Walker

This yellow walker is very old. Grandma used it with her kids. Lilia loved being able to move around. It is different from the walker she has at home which has a back on it. She also loved the "orange" ball grandpa gave her.

TV Remote

I thought I had the remote far enough away but she reached and got it. It was funny to watch her go for the remote.

Aunt Annie and Lilia

Aunt Annie treated us to dinner. We decided to try a new Chinese restaurant. Lilia had a blow out and it got all over daddy. I had another outfit for her but it was one size to small (3-6 months). We barely got her into the outfit. I was very grateful for Annie's help. We survived. This is Lilia's second diaper "problem" and Aunt Annie has been there to help every time! The servers thought we were funny and had their own stories to tell us. On another note, the food was very good.

Mommy and Me

Here are some pictures of me and mommy. I loves playing the piano. I use to wonder and be surprised by the sound but I now know what will happen when I press on the keys. We play almost every day.

First Time to Sit in the Grocery Cart!

Lilia sat in the grocery cart. I had to keep an eye on her but it was so nice to have room for the groceries. She loved looking at everything and the old ladies had fun cooing at her. The cart cover was made by friends and worked great. We made it home and she took a nap. Aldi grocery is quick and to the point. Only draw back is bagging your own groceries!

Bowling Duece FHE

We went Bowling tonight. Lilia fell asleep in Grandma's arms. We got a family picture. This is our second time to go bowling with Lilia. This was a great Family Home Evening activity. Grandma and Grandpa had a great time and Uncle Derek and Aunt Lauren were a lot of fun. We headed to Grandma's house for left over wedding cake and soda.

Peaches!

Lilia loves PEACHES! When she dropped the peach on her tray she got very upset and I heard about the event. She was so cute, even when she was upset. I would quickly dry my hands (I was trying to do dishes) and get the peach back to her. we did this a couple of times till she figured out that she could pick it up herself. Then she got upset because it was not tasting correct (wrong end). I fixed the problem and she was happy again.

Wild Turkey

Leaving our house and this is what we saw in the front yard! Wild Turkey's! We have seen the Tom (Male) out back by himself. The picture are his "hen's". Hmm I wonder how they would taste? If money gets tight we may be eating that for dinner. No hunting allowed.

Favorite Sleeping Spot

Lilia can sleep anywhere. She fell asleep on the plane with a screaming two year old behind us. Falls asleep in the stroller blackberry picking. Loves to sleep in your arms. Movie does not deter her. Large group of people all chatting and she falls asleep. Oh, hot beach and she falls asleep (I had her in the shade and covered). Her favorite spot should be her crib but it is not! Second place: She sleeps so well on Asher's side of the bed, during the day time. I fold laundry, read or take a nap when this happens. First Place: She also prefers to sleep on Mommy!
