Mitt Romney

Asher and Pop went to hear Mitt Romney speak tonight on the Future of Capitalism. I stayed home and took care of Lilia. Asher brought me my own book. I got a his book, No Apology and it is signed. Now I need to do some reading!
Thanks, Dean and Christy!

Cracking Up over an EGG!

Lilia was so funny. I put plastic eggs in her dress pockets. She thought that was interesting. I also balanced a plastic egg on her spoon she was holding when it fell she laughed. We played that game over and over.

Amy Dress

This is a dress my Mom made and that I wore when I was little. It is a little big for Lilia but she will fit it eventually.

13 Months

Saturday 27, 2010
Lilia is 13 months. She is walking, climbing, twirling, chattering, and is into everything. She loves to swing, read her books, control the TV remote (she does not know it goes to the TV or watch TV) She loves sitting in her rocking chair but getting a picture of her is hard to do. She moves around and is looking at everything. She points to different things she wants or that are new. We never know what she is going to notice.

Friends for life or at least a nap!

This is how Lilia looked sleeping with "pookie" (Puppy). I think she was tired after swinging outside.

Old and New Swing Set

On Saturday afternoon we disassembled the old swing set and assembled the new swing set. Lilia loves her pink swing and the slide. A BIG thanks to Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa for putting the swing together.

Piano Time

She now will point to the piano and that means she wants to play the piano. I wish I had gotten her and not just her reflection.

Where is your.........

Belly Button?
Lilia will point to her belly and try to find it. So cute! If she is wearing a onesie she will just point to the location. She has a cute belly button!
The last picture is of her looking at something outside. We are wishing for warmer weather.

Walking with Baby

Lilia woke up and wanted her doll. She tried to pick her doll up but her balance was off. I had to help her. She carried the doll till we ate breakfast. I love watching Lilia. Oh and that is her serious morning face. She slept in and so did I. Daddy usually greets her in the morning and she did not see him. He is at work already. Hence the serious face this morning.

How many licks does it take?......

Lilia found the goodie basket at Grandma's house. She had the whole lollipop in her mouth with the wrapper on. She got help with the wrapper and had the whole thing in her mouth. Lollipop's are yummy! This is what I would guess she was thinking by the look on her face. She was lounging and enjoying her lollipop. She was very sticky. She mostly carried the lollipop around the house.

Door Knobs

Lilia is finding door knobs and closing doors. She knows the doors that lead to the outside. She can't open the doors, yet. She closes our bedroom door and looks at herself in the mirror. We love watching her.

Jello

I tried a new jello, black raspberry gelatin from the Amish Country Pantry Store. Lilia had fun figuring out how to eat the stuff. This is the second time she has eaten jello. Loved it!

One Word: "Dada" ....

And she is at the window waiting for him. She was not happy when he was not there. I told her that he was coming later.
*Note to self do not say, "Dada" unless he is coming!

See my finger, see my thumb....NOPE!

Lilia loves spaghetti. She is covered in sauce. She is sucking on her thumb. She was laughing during this time. She also tried to feed Daddy. He took a nibble. She also ate avocado and cucumber (that is the green you see). She is also learning about silverware.

Doctor Visit 12 Months

Lilia went to the doctor for her check up. We like her doctor.
Weight: 22 lbs
Height: 30 inches
She got two shots and did not like it. The two bandages are Taz cartoon. I think that fits her. She calmed down when I held her and sang to her. I got her dressed and then she had her finger pricked. She did not cry until the bandage was put on her finger. We then headed out. She fell asleep on the way home. Lilia you are so brave.

Pink Swing

Great weather today. Asher is cutting some stumps in the yard. Lilia and I decided to give him a break and try out her new swing. She loves the swing. When it slows down she gets restless and loves a push.

Happy Birthday! Lilia is One!

Lilia's Cake.  This is the second one I have made.  It tasted really good.

Lilia and Daddy before the party started.

Mommy and Daddy with the Birthday Princess!

Hmm, this might taste good.  She did not want to get dirty.

 This tastes interesting.

Mommy will help me open my presents.

Look what Grandma and Grandpa H. got me.  I love my apron.  We need to do some baking and crafts.

Grandpa R. will help me with this next one.

I love books.  Look at all the colors.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa R.

Mommy and Daddy got me some drums. I will be making lots of noise.

Grandma made a bow for me out of all the ribbons! This was her favorite thing to carry around.

Louise and Bill came for my party.  I share her name.  She also made the dress I am wearing.

I am distracted by everything.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa R.

3 March 2010
We are celebrating a few days late. Happy Birthday! We love you Lilia! We had a great time celebrating your birthday.
Here are a few things you love doing:
You found your baby dolls and love kissing them.  You do the sign for milk.  You drink our of a sippy cup.  You love reading books before naps and during the day.  You love other kids and want to be a part of the action.  You can blow bubbles, click your tongue and try to give us kisses.  You watch Daddy come home and greet him with smiles and laughter.  You eat everything.  You love vegetables, avocado and green beans.  Bath time continues to be a favorite for you.  You love splashing and getting me wet.  You love climbing into your rocking chair and then getting out.  You know what the trash can is and that your diapers go in there. Balloons are fun especially the ones with helium because they float. You carry your puppy (pookie) around everywhere and sleep with her.

Bread Baby!

Lilia loves to see what we are doing in the kitchen. She watched me make bread today. She loves eating it as well. So, funny watching her eat her bread. She took small bites till she decided that she likes it. I was sharing my slice. I think she saw how fast I ate and decided to stuff more in her mouth. Now she has her own slice of bread and is eating slowly. Yummy!
