Lilia 30 Months

Lilia you are 2 1/2 years old! You are talking a lot. You make up songs and sing for us. You love airplanes and know we go "high".  You will go potty for daddy in the toilet. You love reading books and we catch you reading in your room. Your favorite movie is Cinderella. You love to nap in our bed. You love to wear chapstick. Daddy swings you with his arms. Dresses are your favorite and they have to be "pretty". You now pray for us for every prayer. We try and help and you tell us, "shh" or "no, me".  You build towers with your mega bloks and knock the tower over. We love you Lilia.

****I had to add these pictures because she would not cooperate and take the pictures in her chair.  I am love her personalilty and think this shows it.

I don't want to have my picture taken.  You fold your arms whenever you do not get your way.

Your scrunched up nose is so cute.  You are leaning forward so it looks like your body is small.

You started this the last month--fingers in your nose.  You think boogers are yucky but still stick your fingers up your nose.

You have about 3 pairs of sun glasses.  You love wearing them.  I love this smile.

Grocery Shopping in PJ's

I planned this...grocery shopping in pj's. This way they were ready for bed when we got home. Lilia loves to drive the car at the grocery stores. I think Elayna is having just as much fun. Lilia helped fine the bananas and cheerios. They are both yellow. They both went to bed soon after we got home.

The Door Stop and Elayna

Elayna is crawling!  She is everywhere and ventures off on her own. She found the door stop. It makes a great noise and a fun toy. What will she find next? She also loves my antique iron treadle sewing machine.

Dressed for the Day

This morning was an adventure....dirty diapers, change of clothes, dishes, drink of water, water all over the floor and getting dinner in the crock pot. We then headed to story time at the library. After story time we headed to see a friend. All of this happened before lunch. Busy day. *******Elayna is crawling now. She has no problem venturing off. *******

Elayna's First Ice Pop

Elayna loves ice pops! She made some funny faces. We needed to cool down and so we had ice pops. When we were done Elayna got mad there was not more to eat. Lilia did not want to share her remaining ice pop. We got another one out and split it into two and all were happy.

Chicken Pesto Zucchini Pizza

Lilia helped me make pizza. She helped measure the flour for the dough, tested the toppings for yumminess and make the pizza. She is a great helper. The dough is red because we used the juice from the whole tomatoes. This was a great dinner! Lilia even ate the crust and her part of the pizza.

Oreo Cookie

Here is Elayna's first keep cookie. She wanted to put the entire cookie in her mouth. She had a great time eating and loved the cookie. The faces she made were very cute. She did not let go or drop this cookie.

Lagoon

We had a great day at Lagoon. We rode a few rides and Lilia followed her cousins. She went on some big kid rides. She was tall enough by 1 inch. She had to be 36 inches tall. We then at lunch. Then headed for the water. The water and the lazy river were her favorite. She then rode on the swings.  She did not like the helicopter ride because it was loud. She fell asleep after the ride in daddy's arms and took a nap for two hours. When she got up she rode in the cars and swinged a couple of times.
Elayna took two naps and was happy to be held. She did not like the water at first because it was cold.

Day in the Clouds/Beach!

Cloud Dough!
I tried this recipe and it is a lot of fun. Brought back memories of the beach for me and Lilia loved playing in it. I made a double batch. Lilia played for almost an hour! Wish I could say I got something done (played with her, so I guess that is something)! I recommend putting a sheet or plastic table clothe under the bowl or bin. I dumped the cloud dough back into the bin that was on the table clothe. We will see how long the cloud dough lasts. We smell like baby oil. A big thanks to pre-schoolplay.blogspot.com

Sunglasses and a Smile

Daddy worked late last night. We headed to grocery store for some trip supplies. Lilia loves her sunglasses. She has at least three pairs of sunglasses. I finally got her to smile for the picture. **Update: Well, my phone camera freaked out. Here is the non-smile picture.
