Trying on Clothes

Lilia tries to dress herself. Pants on her head. She is trying to get into her swim suit.

Fountain

We went to the Farmer's Market. The international part was closed for cleanup because of the flood. I want to go back when that section is open. We got popcorn for daddy and some squash for dinner. The fountain was not on so we went somewhere else. Lilia was not sure at first but then got into the water. She did not want to leave. It is hot today. Hmm, I wonder if I would look out of place in my bathing suit?

Angel Food

This was a yummy dessert fit for our angel. Lilia loved the raspberries. She tried the angel food cake first and then decided the berries were better. I love the look on her face.

I had angel food cake for dessert a lot as a child. My Mom makes the best. We loved eating the crust on top. We got to decide what cake we wanted for our birthdays. I remember only two kinds, german chocolate cake or angel food cake. I am sure we had others but I don't remember. My mom is a baker. One day I hope to bake as good as she does. I need to get her secret for making angel food cake.

Grandma R and The Three Little Pigs

Three little pigs, grandma was the brick house builder piggie and very fancy for a skit the young women performed for Father's Day activity in her branch. Grandma is a great actress! We loved watching her perform.

Like Aunties, Mommy, and Daughter

We got new nail polish! I think it looks great. Lilia has noticed my toes and her toes recently. She saw my toes had changed when she woke up from her nap. I decided to take advantage of her drowsy state and paint her toe nails. I gave her a snack and she sat still while I did her toes. She sure is cute! She loves carrying the nail polish bottle around.

The Kiddie Pool

Today we got the pool out because we missed swim time. Lilia loved it this time! She splashed, crawled around and floated on her back. She got in and out a lot and so we had grass in the pool. We drank lemonade and sat in the lawn chair. She does not sit still for pictures.

Learning some HTML......sort of!

I know my brothers are laughing right now.  I did take a class in college on HTML and such but I did not listen or pay attention.  I am figuring out a few things.  I added those tabs all by myself.  Well, I used a great blog to get some answers.  I tried one other thing but he got over my head.  I tried teaching a little to my elementary students but that lesson plan went out the window!

Silver Shoes

Lilia saw these shoes and wanted to wear them. She is all about shoes right now!

What a Peaceful Sight--Looking at an Angel

It is always wonderful to see my little girl!! She is so perfect in every way! She is opinionated and vocal in everything--and yes, she will let you know when she is displeased. And then you see her sleep and realize she is a perfect angel. (Recognizing, of course, the tornado will erupt the moment she wakes and starts burning all that energy again!). We just love her so much.
