Women In Lil's Life

We had a great night at the church for the Fall Scripture Festival & Trunk or Treat. I was one of the ladies in charge and I was busy all night. These two helped out with Lilia. She loves them and is okay hanging out with them. She ate two hot dogs, chili and a non dairy cupcake. Thanks Ayana for making one Lil' could eat. Everyone in the ward helped and it was a great event. I have a great committee who did everything! They are awesome to work with.

Church Halloween Party

I was responsible for overseeing the Fall Scripture Festival and Trunk or Treat our church had for Halloween. All the games had a scripture theme.  Jonah and the fishing game, Ball throw and don't hit Samuel the Lamanite, Malachi tithing toss, David and Goliath etc.  It was a lot of fun.  We had a photo booth as well.  We were so excited for them to donate their booth.
Asher was Captain Moroni and I was his wife.  Lilia was Mini Mouse.  It was a great activity and I am so thankful for my committee who helped and did all the work.  The memebers of our congregation ran the games and everyone brought food.  The kids had a great time.

Dying of Thirst!!!

Lilia needed a drink. She found the pitcher, filled it and drank it all.

Daddy and Lilia are playing a game we call: Aaaagh! They chase each other around the loop. Then daddy says, "Aaagh"! Lilia told daddy she wanted to play by grabbing his finger and lead him away, let go of his finger, ran a few steps and said, "Aaagh" and took off running! So funny!

Full Disclosure!

Yep, if I can copy my friends blog! She says it better than me. It is a great read.

This is the real me! Trying to get Lilia down for a nap. She fell asleep in our bed. I know this is not a habit I want to create (falling asleep in our bed)! She needed a nap more than worrying about location.

Itsy Bitsy Spider

Imagine this...woken up at 6 am and Lil' climbs into your bed. She will not go back to sleep. She starts to sing Itsy Bitsy Spider. You can not understand her or the tune. How do I know it is Itsy Bitsy Spider? Hand motions! So cute! You can not help but smile!

Children's Museum of Denver

We went to the Children's Museum and it was a lot of fun. Lilia got to make big bubbles, crawl down a rabbit hole, grocery shop, make crayon rubbings, and slide down a slide. She had a lot of fun wondering around and touching everything. It was a neat place.
I will post more pictures later.

We drove by Molly Brown's house (the unsinkable Molly Brown).

We went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. Lilia loved the chicken and broccoli. We got to meet Brandi(soon to be sister in-law). She is very nice and a lot of fun.

We went swimming again tonight and Lilia had a lot of fun. She spent a lot of time jumping off the edge, going under and then daddy bringing her up for air. She is a swimmer! She also did some swimming on her own and did not mind. We were there to grab her. She is fearless.

Swimming

I know this picture is blurry. We went swimming tonight after dinner. Grandma H went down with us. She took video for us and pictures. Lilia loved the water. She kicked and put her face into the water. She also loved jumping off the side. This summer we will have her take swimming lessons. She does not mind going under the water. She noticed her reflection on the ceiling and loved looking at herself and the others in the pool.

Denver Zoo

We are at the Denver Zoo and it is a free day. We are having fun. Lilia loves seeing the animals. We met up with Grandma and Grandpa H around lunch time. We started walking around and found Grandpa something to eat--hot dogs! We then met up with Uncle Mark, Aunt Amy and my cousin Cindi. We walked around and saw a lot of animals. We are headed back to a different hotel. We are here for my brother Nathan's wedding on Saturday.

Hacienda Colorado

We flew into Denver Colorado and got to our hotel. We asked about restaurants that were within walking distance. Hacienda Colorado here we come! It was across the street. Great service and yummy food. Lilia is congested. She proceeded to throw up all the congestion at the table. We were quiet and nobody noticed. They helped us clean her up. Lilia had slept very little all day and crashed when we were getting our luggage. She had a good nap but was very tired. She drank a lot of sprite and had a little bit of food. We ate our meal in shifts while the other walked Lilia around. She was very good considering how tired she was. It amazes me how strangers have to say hello to her and tell us how beautiful she is. We love our Lilia and she is beautiful!

Gladys Knight!

Went to a concert\musical fireside tonight. Gladys Knight was amazing and her choir. We loved the evenning.  The music was beautiful and uplifting.  We heard songs from all different cultures.  Gladys conducted the choir and sang a few songs as well.  They are performing on Sunday 17th at 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 107 Twin Hills Drvie, Madison TN.  If you do not have a ticket it is okay. They had plenty of room tonight for lots of extra people (300 or more). If you love gospel music and want to know more about the Mormon church here is your chance.  This is a free event.  Here is the webpage for more information:  http://www.suvchoir.org/

My First 5 K

I walked my first 5 K.  It was a small event but that was better for me.  Asher and Lilia participated as well.  Thanks Lovey!  We had a great time.  Momma went with us and kept me on track.  Samantha walked with us as well.  We talked and the walk went by quickly.  I am happy with my time and did better than I thought I would.

Leaves!

Price of Formula

These are the measuring spoons that come in the cans of formula. We did not keep every single one but this is close. There are 48 in this picture. On average a can of formula cost $25. That is a total of $1,200! Wow! She is worth it! We probably paid $20 on average per can.

Lil's Favorite Books

She is back to reading "Where is Spot?" She loves "Goodnight Moon" and "A Mother for Choco". I love all three books. She loves finding the moon and the bear with a bag on her head dancing. It amazes me what she remembers and what she points at every time we read them. She picks what she wants to read and I try and mix in other books but she loves these three!

Big Fish!

Look what we found.....a BIG fish! We will use this fish as our Jonah and the Whale fishing game at our Fall Scripture Festival. I know it is not a whale but it was a cool find. It will be fun to take pictures with this fish while the kids fish. Hope they be obedient and not get swallowed by a whale of a fish!

Music....Sort of

Lil' loved this activity! She was occupied for a good twenty minutes. We talked about loud and quiet sound and hard and soft drumming. We turned the bowls right side up and the sounds were different. She had so much fun! They make great hats as well!

5 A.M.

This is what happens when Lil' wakes up at 5 A.M. She was waiting on "cookies" to bake after breakfast. They are not really cookies.
She is so cute. She spent the morning with Daddy.

Little Foot Steps

It is so much fun to hear the little patter of feet on the floor. We waited a long time to hear the patter of her feet. We are so blessed to have Lil' and our birth mom in our lives. We are so happy to be her parents. We love teaching Lil' the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is amazing to see her face light up when she understands and feels the spirit. We were watching General Conference on Sunday and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir was singing and she was attentive and captivated. Lil' has cute feet. We want to guide, teach, and walk beside her and show her where to place her feet as she grows up. Show her that home is a place of love. Church is one of the places where we serve and teach each other the way to return to our Heavenly home. Temple is where our feet need to be to learn the ways of God and to make covenants with Him. It takes little foot steps and line upon line and precept upon precept. We love hearing her foot steps.

I Can't Hear You.....Singing

Lilia was plugging her ears and singing. I think she liked hearing her voice. She is so cute.

Popcorn

Grandma and Lilia love popcorn! Notice her hand full of popcorn and the other is filling her mouth. Yummy!

Feeling a little better....

Lil' has been sick since late Thursday night. She threw up twice late Friday night. Her temperature was as high as 103.6 F. She had her 18 month wellness checkup (shots (DTP)). Her teeth are hurting her as well. She became congested on Saturday. She has eaten a lot of ice pops and any thing else we can get her to eat. These pictures are from today. She was relaxing with me on the couch, taking her temperature and fell asleep on the floor instead of her bed, its been a busy day at home. She is feeling a lot better.
