"Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we wanted them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come." Joseph F. Smith

3:10 pm ..... 3:24 pm and she is asleep!
I tried to do the normal routine for nap but the new freedom of a toddler bed messes things up. Here is Lil' playing and then finally asleep. I put up a gate at her door instead of closing her door. I did not like not knowing what she was doing. Thanks Jessica for the tip!

Toddler Bed
Asher got Lil's bed converted to a toddler bed. She loves it. She thinks it is fun to jump. Her new freedom is going to be hard for her to understand. She went to bed no problem. We will see how nap time goes tomorrow.
Dulces/Lollipops
Grandma R got these for Lilia on their trip. She found them and so we enjoyed a lollipop. She thought it was fun for me to lick the lollipop as well. It was very yummy. I love the faces she makes.

Loves to sit on the potty!
Lilia learned all about the potty from her cousin E. We were at the chiropractor on Friday and she pooped on the potty. She then went later that night. Then on Saturday I got this picture of her sitting on the potty. She pooped again. Today she peed. I know I should not keep track of this stuff but we are so proud of her!

Current Events
Daddy and Lil' reading the paper over lunch. Daddy like Daughter! They are so much fun! She loves to do what daddy does.
Publix and Coupons
I love the website http://www.southernsavers.com/
I have not been grocery shopping for a few weeks. Everything was on sale and coupons except for the rice milk and the bracelets. I did have a coupon for rice milks. If I spend less than saved in coupons then I did really great!
Spent: $17.85
Saved: $20.39

Fla-Vor-Ice
Lil' loves these ice pops. We have a lot of them. She can not quite get how to push the ice up. I cut it down for her after I try and show her. Yummy.

We meet a friend at Chuck E. Cheese and played the games and rode the rides. Lilia had a great time. The first picture I was not ready and not looking at the camera. The second picture Lilia saw the bigger screen above and was not looking at the camera. Oh well, we had fun!

Our Little Eskimo
Lil' loves her blankets. This is a new development. She fell and could not move. She did not want to mess up her blankets. We rearranged the blankets so she could move. She is so adorable.
Helping Mommy Cook
Dinner tonight will be Sweet and Sour Pork! Lilia helped me prepare the food by organizing the measuring spoons. The Sweet and Sour Pork was yummy!

Grandma R
Here is a picture of grandma in her new shirt. It's obvious her grandchildren walk all over her!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I started working on this in July. When we went to Utah I got most of the grand kids foot prints. Then Melinda came to visit and I got the last two. We decided to give it to Grandma on Grandparents Day which was Sunday, Sept 12th. She was very surprised. She was so excited to wear it to work today.
Adventures
Yep, that chair does not belong in the bathroom. Lil' loves turning the light switch on and off. Grandma R taught her months ago and she has started playing with the lights again.
We have had company and Lilia has learned a lot. She loves following her two year old cousin and doing everything he does.
On Saturday the 11th, the women went shopping. Grandma spoiled us. Grandpa R and Asher (daddy)watched the kids for about 3 hours. I got a text saying that cousin E had taught Lilia how to fish. I asked what that meant and more explanation but did not get answers. Grandma R got Lilia two dresses and some shoes. When we got home we found out the kids were napping. Yeah! We could have done more shopping. Well we found out that Lilia split her lip. Sorry no picture. She was playing with daddy on the floor and cousin E joined the fun and at some point. Lil' face hit daddy's face and split her lip. I think cousin E hit as well. Everyone got ice to suck on and everything was better. Then we asked about the fishing text. Lil' and cousin E were eating crackers and wandered to the bathroom. Daddy caught them dipping their crackers in the toilet and eating them! Cousin E told Asher he was not done and that he wanted his crackers that were in the toilet. So funny. They splashed and got water all over the bathroom but they were dry except for their arms. Daddy washed them up with lots of soap. I asked if he had gotten a picture but he said he did not take the time for that. I think that was okay. :). Since this happened we have had to keep an eye on the toilet and make sure she does not play in it!
Asher's Favorite Book from High School
Asher loves this book: The Woodsman by Don Wright. It is signed by the author. He is reading the book again. I read the book when we were first married. I had nightmares about indian's attacking.
Shopping at the Outlet
We only found a few good deals while shopping at the outlets. Found these outfits at Carters. I think they will be great for Lil this fall. We had lunch and played on the cars. We had a great time shopping and visiting. Lil loves playing and following her cousin.
Look Who's Talking and Time Out
Lil says a few words. She is starting to copy others. Here are the words I understand.
Daddy: Da
Momma: Ma
Bye: Bye (does not say anymore but waves)
Car: Ca
Balloon: Baaahp
Whoa: Whooooa
She points to things and if you ask her she will shake her head no or try and do what you ask. She understands a lot.
We started Time Out and it is going okay. I am not the best. She knows where it is and will stay for her minute. This morning she kept leaving so I kept putting her back. She soon stayed for the one minute and we were good. She knows that she does not like time out.
Lilia and the Potty...The Beginning
My sister in law is potty training her son and Lilia has been involved by running to the bathroom to watch. She is very observant.
Here is what happened tonight: We were playing Don't Eat Pete (another story). Lilia started passing gas and we commented on this. She looked surprise as well at passing gas. Some one asked if she wanted to go potty. Well, she ran toward the bathroom. We took that as a yes. I got her on the potty and held on to her. I tried to show her how to hold on. She pooped soon after! She even turned to look in the toilet and was so excited to see it. We cheered and her cousin was there to encourage. The hard part was keeping her still to clean her up. She did not understand that she had to hold still after all the cheering and excitement. Too funny! We are crazy parents but she did the job and thought it was fun! We even took a picture of her on the toilet. Don't worry it is appropriate! I am sure she is NOT potty trained and we will have a lot of adventures to come! Thanks to cousin "E" for his example!
P.S. I will not be posting the picture.
Bath Time
Lilia loves her bath. She loves kicking her feet while on her tummy. Loves dumping water in and outside of the tub. She loves submerging her face. She was playing peek a boo with me when I took the picture.
