1 Year Old (12 months)

Today Lilia was born. Happy Birthday! Here is a picture in her rocking chair. She did not want to sit still or stay sitting. She is a joy and the love of our life. She is now sitting forward facing in her "new" car seat. She loves seeing us and looking out the window.

What's Cooking?

I knew we should not have gotten the drawer on the bottom. She is starting to climb and it looks like the stove is the first. The stove locks, thank goodness.

Toes are Yummy!

Lilia has only sucked on her toes a couple of times. I finally got pictures. I did not encourage this. She did it all on her own! I love it! Her feet and toes are so cute!

Birthday Cake Pictures for my First Birthday

I huge Thank You to Sears Portraits.

Happy Birthday....Lilia!

We are celebrating all week long.  Lilia did not like getting sticky and dirty at the beginning.  Once she took a nibble she decided to have some more.  She was covered in cake by the end.   It was so much fun to watch her laugh, clap her hands, point her finger and scrunch up her nose.

Ducky

This is what the ducky looked like after the photo shoot. Louise went with us to help me. We had a great time watching Lilia learn what a cake was. We got Lilia cleaned up in the break room sink. She fell asleep on the way home. Now for a bath to get the final frosting off. She smelled of frosting. Bath time is so much fun. Ducky got a bath as well.

Piano and Puppy

Feb 2nd,
Lilia takes her puppy everywhere including the piano. She at one point placed the puppy next to her on the bench. I moved it to try and get a picture. She checked on the puppy and then picked it up and continued playing the piano.

Our Calvin and Hobbes... Lilia

I love reading the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. I have found a few books at used book stores. Calvin makes me laugh. I love his adventure. Lilia is walking now and finding her adventures. Daddy got this Tiger for her. She was playing with him today. I found Lilia in her laundry basket recently. So funny!

Weird Science

We stopped by the park so Lilia could run around. The weather was very nice. Her hair stood up every time she went down the slide. She was getting shocked and you could hear it. She did not mind. I went down one slide and I was shocked more than once. We had a fun break.

Laying on the floor

I lay on the floor while she plays with her toys. She crawls all over me. She decided to copy me and lay down as well. She is getting close to her nap time. I can tell because she clings to me and can not play by herself. I feel she is growing up too quickly!

Lips

This is for Uncle Derek. Lilia has the lip trick! She has been doing it for a while but getting a picture is not easy. This ability comes from Daddy's side of the family. :)

Do I Match? Peas...!

I combined two out fits, summer with long pants. I think the bow ties the outfit together. What do you think?

Lilia decided to eat peas for lunch. Lately she has decided she did not want peas. She ate a lot today. Yeah! We are working on transitioning from a bottle to a sippy cup.

Look what fell!

Lilia did not get hit by the chair or hurt. She thinks it is a new toy. She is into everything and having a lot of fun. She is so much fun to watch.
She knows what the telephone is and pretends she is talking on her play phone. I don't talk a lot on the phone and she still knows! She talked to Aunt Annie today.

Hat

Lilia knows where all the plastic bowls are kept. It is a great distraction for her when I am cooking. She can be near me but have some fun. Today I am making Kimchi. She will not eat it yet. Give her a couple of years and she will love it. My kimchi is not very hot. Hats off!

Broccoli

Lilia loves eating the tops off of broccoli. She tests it out and then nimbles and then attacks. She does not care for the stem. She tried the fish and ate a little rice.

Goodwill Buys

I have been looking for new cd player. The Onion Machine was priced higher at Christmas. Found it for $2.99. The rack is for hanging your pot lids by hanging them on the cabinet door. I am going to use it to hold towels. Here is the final look for the lid rack turned towel rack.

Dragon

My Mother cross stitched this when I was a teenager, I think. It hangs on the wall near my bed. "Some Daze I Can't Help Dragon" is so true. Thanks Mom for giving this to me. I have fond memories of you cross stitching while waiting for us during our many activities.
Love ya, Amy

Banana

Lilia takes little bites of her banana. She is so cute. She will stuff other things in her mouth but takes her time with the banana. We had cherry yogurt, puffs and banana for breakfast today. I got her to take one bite of my oatmeal.
