Grandma H. Reading to the Girls

My mom read to us all the time. She would read to my younger brothers and my brother and I as teenagers would end up in the room listening as well.
I am trying to read to my girls as well. They love going to library and we have a lot of books.
I think grandma H. read two or three books. The girls had a great time.

Naps and No Naps

Lilia takes a nap but Elayna refuses. I let Lilia sleep for about an hour and then she is good. If I can get Elayna to do the same she is fine as well. If Lilia does not take a nap she will fall asleep at dinner time at the table. It has happened and is amazing to watch. She can hurt herself as her head hits the table. We usually catch her or put her to bed and make sure she does not have food in her mouth. This has only happened a few times. Elayna us an energized bunny. She keeps on going and them crashes. She does not fall asleep in her car seat and prefers her bed.

More Cousins....Smiles

My cousin Tami and her family came for quick visit. We had great time talking and visiting. The kids played together and my girls loved having cousins here.

Fancy Lilia and Fancy Elayna

One head band was not enough for these Fancy girls. They love reading Fancy Nancy books. I have two very Fancy girls, who are still in pajamas!

Walk with Grandpa

We went on a walk with grandpa and the cousins. We found walnuts and acorns along the path. The kids ran ahead on the path. When I called, "red light" they would stop and run back to give grandpa a hug and say, "we love grandpa".  Then they would run ahead on the path way again.

Sidewalk Chalk and Pink

We had a great time playing with the chalk. It was a nice cool afternoon. Notice I have a right handed and left handed girls. I was trying to cook dinner and still play with the girls outside. Pink is the color they fought over the most.

Cousins and the Creek

We went to the park and the cousins had a great time playing. They explored the creek. The first picture they are mostly clean but by the end of the adventure they were dirty and wet. Grandma slipped and got really wet in the creek.

Our Favorite Park

We headed to the park on a nice cool day. This is our favorite park. Lilia loves the climbing web. Elayna figured out how to climb the web this trip. She followed her sister up the web of ropes. It scares me but I try to teach them how to climb up and then help them climb down. Going down is always harder.

First Ballet Class and Creative Movement

Lilia kept asking all day if it was time for ballet class. Elayna kept asking if she was going to be in Lilia's class. Elayna is taking a creative movement class and Lilia ballet. Elayna cried when I left but was happy at the end.Lilia is so excited her friend is in her class! They are beautiful ballerinas!

Starting Piano Lessons

Lilia started up piano lessons with Grandma R this week. She usually has 15 minute lesson but they went for 30 minutes. She had so much fun. The spider song I heard at least three times. They reviewed a lot of things and Lilia is still talking about her lesson.

Grandma asked Lilia to find the white key between two black keys. She found the white key with her right hand. Then she asked if she could find another. Lilia found it with the other hand. Grandma asked if she could find another white key between two black keys. Lilia said, "But grandma, I don't have any more hands."

We are so thankful for grandma!
