The Year of the Dog

I just finished reading this fun novel for children.

The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin is a fun book to read that teaches about different cultures and living in the US. I like the friendships and the experience as school and her mother's stories. The different kinds of food was interesting to hear about as well.

This is an easy read and lots of fun!

Have you heard of Dr. John R. Christopher?

Okay, a friend of mine and my Mother have referred me to Dr. John R. Christopher. I have not taken the time, yet to read over everything. I don't know if that is possible. I have been using the search option on the website and have looked up words and phrases. Very interesting so far.

The radio show sounds interesting as well under FAQ. (Wish I was in UT, listened to a few sound clips)

Has anyone else heard of this, experimented and had success? Please let me know.

Thanks, Amy

Hormone Creams

Okay, If you are a man you can stop reading this post!

I have been using Arbonne-Prolief now for over a year now with great results. I feel better and I am not so moody and I have a regular cycle! This is a big deal since I have never had a regular cycle so far in my life! I became an Arbonne Consultant and have purchased some of their products. If you are having a problem with your hormones and want to try something safe and different, call me and we can talk. I am not an expert and I know everyone's body is different.

Church Youth Trip-June 2008

I got the privilege of going with the youth (16-18 years old) on a church trip to Palmyra, NY and Kirtland, OH in June. What a great trip. Here are some of the pictures I took and some of my random thoughts.

This is in Kirtland. The youth were great. We had a good time touring. The youth were with the stake, the rest of us adults were all together.

Here are the Bishops. What a great group of men!

We asked the men to take a picture of us and they would not tell us when they were taking the picture. Hence, I have three pictures that are all crazy!

This is the group of youth I was with at the Palmyra Temple. It was a great experience. It was so peaceful and quiet and the view was so beautiful.

We got to go to the Sacred Grove. The youth were told to be quiet and reverent. They were to walk around, pray and read their scriptures. It was nice to stretch my legs and be still and enjoy nature. I now know a little bit of why Joseph Smith decided to pray in these woods.

I did not know this at the time but these are wild roses.

Here is the whole group of youth on top of the Hill Cumorah in NY. What a great trip. I took a lot of pictures but can not post them all.

I am very thankful that I was able to go and spend time with the youth and strengthen my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my ancestors who traveled through these places and the trials they bore because of their testimonies. I hope to live up to the legacy they left me.

Ocoee River Whitewater Rafting

In May, Asher and I went whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River. We took a group of young singles from church. The weather was perfect and what a ride. Wow, it was fun. Asher and I are sitting in the back of the raft. Later on we sat in the front. I got really wet then. We did not flip the raft. Our guide looks like he came from the woods but he was great. I would love to go again. So, if you are interested in going whitewater rafting let us know because we are looking at going again in May of 2009.
