Lilia has pierced ears! Annie and I went looking for a place with closed backs. We found a place in Springfield. Lilia did really well. Then before we left she had a big blow out. Wow, it was messy! Thank goodness Annie was there to help! I was not prepared so she was naked except for diaper, bib and socks! We had plenty of blankets though. A very eventful day! First picture is of Annie feeding Lilia and she is not dressed! Second picture is of Lilia today.

3 Months Old
Lilia is 3 months old today! She is growing so fast.
Here she is next to her doll. While I was taking pictures of her she knocked the doll over with her arm. She is so strong and determined!
Here she is sitting in her rocking chair. I got her to smile but it took a little while. I don't think she likes sitting up.

Sleeping at Grandma's
Lilia is snoozing at grandma's house. She is sleeping on Uncle Derek's baby blanket. Each corner of the blanket is embroidered with a cute animal. I am surprised she is asleep. When I was feeding her she kept smiling at me and talking to me. She was just playing. So cute!

And the WINNER is........
Asher got a phone call this morning from simplicitygourmet.com It was a surprise. Last week at work they had a health fair and he registered for a free gourmet dinner. He had forgotten about it until this morning when they called and said he had won! So, on Friday we are having a gourmet chef come and cook in my kitchen! I am so excited! We get free aprons (one black one and one pink one), discounts and yummy food. I don't have to do dishes! They are bringing the cookware. This is going to be an adventure for sure. Our names go into a drawing for a Jamaican Vacation! I don't think our good fortune will last to get that one! No big deal though, because free dinner is just great!
Oh, the last thing we won was our profile on an adoption website. Time before that was Ballroom dance lessons that I won for answering a phone survey correctly. It was not fun. They tried to sell us lessons that were very expensive. The dancing part was a lot of fun! We don't win much. Those last two things have happened in the last 10 years.

Lilia is very hungry! Daddy came to the rescue and she was very ecstatic!

Walker
Lilia is up and she wants to see what is going on. I put her in her walker and sat her next to me. She hit the toys here and there. She had big bubbles but I could not get to the camera fast enough. Alas in the end all I got was slobber! She got tired and fell asleep in my arms.

Walk and a Visit
Lilia and I went for a walk. It is getting hot here but the breeze is cool. We walked one mile with hills and all. Pushing a stroller is a workout! We stopped by Louise's house. Lilia took a nap and we got to talk. Thanks for letting us stop by. We made it home and we both cooled down. Now time to play and eat and Lilia may take an afternoon nap.

Playing
Lilia is playing more. She does better when I am playing with her which I can understand and enjoy. The music gym and jumpster are shown below. The music gym we have been using awhile. When I need to be on the computer or exercise she can play as well. The jumpster I just got out today to try it out. She may be a little too young but she lasted about 15 min. She was getting tired. She is asleep now.

Sunday Dress
After church we changed but kept Lilia in her beautiful dress. She makes the dress adorable! My cousin sent me the cream shoes that fit perfectly. Thank you. She is so curious. She wants to see what is going on.

Summer Outfit
Lilia is growing so fast. She is now wearing 3-6 month clothes. This morning she drank 6 oz of formula around 7 am. She was content till 9 am. She was looking around and talking to me while I cleaned the kitchen. She is also starting to notice her hands. Not consistent yet but getting close. She will put her fingers or fist in her mouth. Then she got fussy. Why? Dirty diaper. Yep, she tells me when she is dirty. Cleaned her up and she was happy. She fell asleep in my arms. I think she was tired!

Fell Asleep On the Job!
Asher comes home for lunch everyday. I found him and Lilia taking a nap. It was so cute. I thought Asher was pretending but I was wrong. Lilia snuggles with Asher. I thought Asher puts her to sleep but I think it goes both ways! I enjoy having Asher come home for lunch. I am so thankful that he works close so he can come home. We enjoy having him for lunch.

Lilia Entranced
Lilia loves the mirror. It is on the headrest of the seat on the right of the picture. It is green with an orange monkey. She makes the funniest faces. I am sure she is wondering the same of the girl in the mirror! She is distracted by the mirror but soon tires of the car seat. If the car is moving she stays calm but when we get to a light and have to stop she gets sad. I am sure the dislike of the car seat will increase.

Grandma's and Grandpa's
Two Months Old
I am a little late on this one but here we go. This is Lilia and her doll. She is two months old! She is growing so fast.
Bubbles
Here is Lilia blowing bubbles! She is so cute and we have so much fun playing with her. Every time we go somewhere everyone loves her chubby cheeks and say she is so beautiful. We think so too!

The Wrap
One of my friends made me a wrap for holding Lilia. I am starting to get the hang of it. This is called the Joey Hold. There are other positions. I like it because Asher can use this wrap as well. Lilia loves to be held. I might be able to fold laundry now! Thanks, Ann

Sleeping
Lilia fell asleep on our bed. I was trying to keep her up so she will sleep better tonight. The quilt she is laying on my Mother made a few years ago. The fabric is all scraps from different projects she made over the last 33 years. I love looking at it and seeing my pink dress and other outfits that were mine. The quilt brings back family memories.

Imagination Library
I signed Lilia up for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. We got her first book today in the mail. The Little Engine That Could. She is getting very responsive and gives us smiles and lots of bubbles. She gets the hiccups at least once a day.
